Five pastel bunnies replace bed-jumping monkeys in this board-book twist on a familiar nursery rhyme. .Five bouncing bunnies/ hopping on the floor./ One jumps away/ and then there were.... opens the story, as the five terminally cute rabbits jump rope in a cozy living room. The answer (four, in this case) opens the rhyme that follows on the next page, with additional rabbits departing with each page turn. Flocked bunnies also peek over the edge of each spread; counting them lets readers come up with the correct numerical answer before they flip the page. A sweet Easter-time rhyme. Ages 2–4.
