  • Becoming A Scholastic Customer

  • Please contact our Customer Service department. They will be able to guide you through the application process and provide you with a comprehensive New Accounts Kit.

    Below you will find some of the forms necessary for completing the application process, as well as general information about Trade accounts. Simply click on the form you would like to print, complete it and return it to Scholastic Canada using one of the methods listed below.

  • Placing an Order

  • You may mail or fax your completed new account application with your order and 50% pre-payment that is required.
    See Method of Payment.

    Any orders you place after the initial order can be faxed, mailed, phoned, sent by E-Mail or telebook and an invoice will be generated. See above for fax, phone, and E-Mail information.

    On-line ordering is not available at this time.

  • We discount on a sliding scale and offer a 50% Non-Returnable policy if you prefer it to a sliding scale discount.

    Sliding Scale Discount for a Retail Bookstore:
    1-24 assorted books 20%
    25-149 assorted books 40%
    150-299 assorted books 42%
    300-499 assorted books 43%
    500 + assorted books 45%
    *Non-returnable discount 50%
    *All non-returnable business with Scholastic will be considered fully non-returnable on an ongoing basis. Non-Returnable accounts MAY NOT revert back to the sliding scale.
  • Yes you can.  Orders that you place together from different catalogues will be combined and shipped together.

  • No. Any orders placed after an initial order will be entered into the system as a new order.

  • The product found in the Education catalogues is available only to schools/school boards. These individuals must order directly from Scholastic. View a list of our Educational Sales Consultants.

  • Shipping and Returns

  • Returns may only be made between 3(three) & 12(twelve) months from the invoice date. All returns must be prepaid. Collect shipments will not be accepted. 'Returns' and claim number must be clearly marked on all cartons.

    Only full book returns EXCEPT, all movie tie-ins are strippable.

    All books must be resaleable (mint) condition and documentation must be included along with the ISBN.

    Returns are sent at customer's risk. Credit will not be issued on return shipments lost in transit.

    All returns will be credited at a flat rate of 46% unless invoice numbers accompany the return, in which case the return will be credited at the original purchased price.

  • We do not charge a shipping fee. If a customer is requesting a rush order by courier then we will make the necessary arrangements and invoice for this service. 

  • We guarantee that items arrive at your location in saleable condition or they can be returned for 100% credit or refund.
