Reading Champions

Congratulations to our
December Reading Champions!

From a librarian who brings history to life for her students to an organization who’s been promoting Canadian literature for decades, our December Reading Champions are an inspiration to all who love books and care about literacy.

Congratulations to our Reading Champions!
Celebrating 60 Years of Sharing Stories

In 2017 Scholastic Canada will celebrate 60 years of sharing stories and to commemorate our anniversary, we established the Scholastic Reading Champions program.

The Reading Champions program will honour individuals, schools and not-for-profit organizations across Canada who help children discover the pleasure and power of reading.

Help us find someone who:

  • brings the joy of reading to Canadian children,
  • promotes a love of reading in their community, or
  • helps put books into the hands of children.

Each month from January to December 2017, Scholastic Canada will highlight the achievements of FIVE Reading Champions and donate a Scholastic library* on behalf of each to the school or not-for-profit organization of their choice. Reading Champions will be selected from the nominations we receive by a committee of Scholastic employees and members of the children’s book community.

Join us as we celebrate 60 years of spreading the joy of reading by nominating a
Reading Champion today!
